Founded in 2003, D2 Construction is a private, minority-owned firm based in Miami, Florida.
D2 Construction’s executive team members have more than 40 years’ experience in the field. Supported by a well-trained staff, they have the know-how and the dedication to successfully complete each project according to the highest standards—on time and within budget.
D2 Construction handles every phase of construction—from demolition and site work, through planning, construction, and final inspections. Their commitment to quality gives clients the peace of mind that comes from knowing their jobs will be completed competently, efficiently, and with pride.
Howard Diston, President/Owner D2 Construction, Inc.
A certified General Contractor and certified Engineering Inspector in the State of Florida, Mr. Diston has over 30 years’ experience in the construction industry including quality control, inspection, and project management. His capabilities encompass value engineering and analysis, scheduling, constructability reviews, cost estimating, surveying, site safety, and the training of office and field personnel.
Prior to founding D2 Construction, Mr. Diston was a consultant for Miami-Dade County Public Schools (MDCPS) and for Miami-Dade Water and Sewer Department (MDWASD) over a period of nine years. He served as a project manager for consulting firms at MDCPS and as a technical specification writer and Engineering Inspector at MDWASD. He also worked as a project engineer for Aerocon Construction Jamaica Limited in Kingston, Jamaica.
